The Accton ES5508 is a 8 port L2/L4 10Gigabit Ethernet standalone switch. The switch configuration is 8 10GBASE XFP ports. Comprehensive network management functions are provided, such as Spanning Tree protocol for standard bridging, GVRP for VLAN configuration, SNMP, RMON and Web management which are also standard features.
The base hardware is a 1U height, 19" rack mountable metal enclosure. It can be managed either by in-band management via the network station remotely or out-of-band management via the console port (RS232) locally. With its full-duplex 10G trasmitting speed per port, and feature-rich security and management fuctions, ES5508 is the ideal for your bandwidth-hungry backbone or server farms to effectively accelarate your network performance.
