The Global Appeal Launched in the middle of the traditional Christmas giving season, the appeal allows visitors to take advantage of the philanthropic opportunities of the Internet and e-commerce. The objective of the Global Appeal website is to encourage individuals to give their support to WWF, either by making a credit card donation or by becoming a member of WWF.

Save wildlife, grab a mouse! The Internet gives a multinational charity such as WWF the opportunity and the tools to interact with a global audience. This activity is coordinated from Switzerland, designed in England, hosted in the USA, and sponsored by Accton in Taiwan. ‘Accton is proud to be part of this campaign. Our sponsorship reinforces the power of the Internet to be the medium for people worldwide to cooperate on an issue as central to everyone’s future as the environment.’ said Denis Odlin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Accton.

Accton has stepped forward to help. ‘The sponsorship reflects ur corporate philosophy, ‘Making Partnerships Work’, on a global scale.’ Mr. Odlin emphasised that, ‘Accto’s business is building the hardware of the internet. We are supporting WWF’s Global Appeal because it is meaningless to invest in tomorrow’s technology without a healthy natural environment today.’ It’s all online and it’s your choice.
