Wisdom Corp adheres to the concept of continuous innovation and improvement, implementing R&D capabilities into product development and improvement to provide efficient and stable products. We also aim to increase product value, enhance company competitiveness, and generate profits by protecting R&D achievements through patent protection methods.

I. Patent Application and Management

Our patent application strategy primarily aims to protect and create product value, increase company competitiveness, and establish patent incentive and management regulations accordingly. We encourage R&D colleagues to actively innovate and improve during product development and regulate patent asset management and confidentiality of patent information.

To promote innovation and select practical technologies that can benefit company operations, we establish an ideation proposal mechanism before the patent proposal process based on patent incentive and management regulations. Different from the patent proposal mechanism which evaluates the patent feasibility of the application content, the ideation proposal only requires a simple disclosure of the concept and undergoes a review mechanism focusing on product benefits. This simplified process and proposal incentive mechanism aim to cultivate a habit of constantly considering product improvement among R&D colleagues and foster a culture of innovation to stimulate R&D output.

Ideation proposals approved by the review can enter the patent proposal process, where we evaluate the feasibility of the proposal content and conduct a necessity assessment of product avoidance design through a prior art search to reduce potential risks in product sales.

In addition to innovative ideas and patent proposal processes, we conduct regular investigations on the application status of patent technology, review the benefits of maintaining patents, and timely discard outdated or low opportunity patents to maintain the economic benefits of the company’s patent portfolio and uphold patent quality.

To facilitate the aforementioned proposal and management operations, we have developed an Intellectual Property Management System, covering ideation proposals, patent applications, and collaborative management platforms between relevant departments, to execute management operations correctly and efficiently in a systematic manner.

II. Protection of Trade Secrets

We require R&D colleagues to regularly record important discoveries and achievements in their daily work, detail key findings or inventions in R&D records, and maintain important R&D achievements. We conduct spot checks on R&D records to verify the accuracy and correctness of the recordings, ensure compliance with regulations, and protect important technical achievements and trade secrets that are not suitable for patent protection.

Patent Acquisition Status:

As of the end of 2023, the company has accumulated a total of 1224 patent applications globally and acquired a total of 934 patents worldwide.
