With the trend of an aging society, addressing long-term care and the postponement of disability are urgent challenges that society must collectively address. To promote the physical and mental well-being of the elderly population, advocate for self-sufficiency and proper caregiving practices in old age, and reduce the impact of aging on Taiwanese society, Accton E-Charity (www.17885.com.tw) has partnered with Changtai Senior Citizensβ School-Health Care System to jointly launch the βAccton E-Charity: Golden Prosperity 50+ Joyful Life β Podcast channel program and YouTube channel in 2023.
Empowering Taiwanβs Elderly for Dignified & Independent Golden Years Through Innovative Media & Offline Engagement
We use new digital media to promote awareness of daily life care and self-support concepts online. Additionally, we incorporate offline lecture formats to engage and interact with the general public through various channels. We aim to establish fundamental concepts and promote self-sufficiency among the general population, with the objective of transforming traditional attitudes towards caregiving. Our objective is to empower Taiwanβs elderly population to live a dignified, supported, and independent life during their golden years.
Collaborating Beyond Podcasts: Empowering Caregiving Concepts and Self-Support Initiatives Across Taiwan
In addition to utilizing the podcast for promotion, Accton is also collaborating with Changtai Senior Citizensβ School and its CEO, Lin Chin-Li, who is also the host of this channel. We held physical seminars in Chiayi and Yunlin to engage with the public and discuss caregiving concerns. In the second half of the year, we will continue to carry out more promotional activities in areas such as Taipei, New Taipei City, and central Taiwan.
