Accton's Consensus Camp at Kids’ Bookhouse in Taitung
Accton colleagues embarked on a unique journey at the Kids’ Bookhouse in Taitung. This three-day Consensus Camp initiative focused on the themes of "Understanding, Experiencing, and Converging," and aimed to understand the four key aspects of the Kids’ Bookhouse: education, employment, healthcare, and elder care.
Accton’s colleagues gained a deeper understanding of the operation of the Kids’ Bookhouse and experienced Taitung’s needs and challenges firsthand by participating in local activities and assisting with community building. Through walking tours, they not only appreciated the local culture of the Zhiben area but also understood the role of the Kids’ Bookhouse and its determination to break through and solve structural issues in the community continuously.
A Meaningful Experience of Team Collaboration and Community Service
During the event, colleagues collaborated to engage in a range of community service activities. These included practicing and recording choir performances, assisting with field cleaning, and cooking together. Each person contributed their share, from weeding to culinary tasks. These experiences fostered a deeper understanding of local needs and underscored the significance of teamwork.
Cross-Departmental Connections and Social Contribution
More importantly, this event provided opportunities for colleagues to get to know each other better, fostering trust, cooperation, and a deeper appreciation of Taiwan's beautiful land and culture. They also explored ways to give back to the community and make contributions to society.
Accton is delighted to address local internet issues through our product design and research expertise. This Consensus Camp also made colleagues aware that our efforts and products can build networks of goodwill and contribute to society, thereby making a positive impact.
