Accton Technology Shares“Risk Management Strategies for Supply Chain Cybersecurity in the Manufacturing Industry”
Cybersecurity in the Manufacturing Industry, Mr. Elvis Jan, Manager of the Cybersecurity Division of Accton, shared the key actions and steps that Accton has taken to promote cyber security over the years with the topic of "Supply Chain Cybersecurity Risk Management Strategies for Manufacturing Industry ".
Accton's cyber security initiatives include three important levels: security, stability, and productivity. In particular, Accton emphasizes the construction of the “security” level in the first place, and has set up a dedicated cyber security organization with reference to international standards and an implementation model. The company obtained ISO28000 certification in 2022 and ISO22301 BCM certification for continuous operation in 2023, and regularly conducts internal publicity to build up the awareness of cyber security in each department.
Entering the AI era, the role of the manufacturing industry in various types of system equipment is becoming more and more critical. In addition to capacity and quality, cyber security has become a necessary consideration for the industry to enhance its competitive advantage.
In 2024, Accton responded to customer demand and upgraded its security initiatives so that the awareness of security no longer rests within the organization and each department's responsibility, but extends to its supply chain partners to enhance the security of the product shipment and delivery process. In the future, Accton expects to further integrate cyber security into smart factory automation equipment, integrate cloud services and vulnerability remediation, increase proactive defense, deepen the social engineering exercise model, and promote more advanced education and training for all employees.
Mr. Elvis Jan, Manager of the Cybersecurity Division of Accton, shared Accton's cyber security risk management strategy with our supply chain partners.
