Accton Donated Pandemic Prevention Supplies to Support Medical Personnel
During the pandemic, many institutions and groups with insufficient resources faced crises of lack of resources, such as children’s after-school classes in remote areas, social welfare groups, etc. For front-line medical units or personnel, their need for relevant protection resources was often neglected. In 2021, Accton made donations to the units and social welfare groups affected by the pandemic, whether it was pandemic prevention related equipment or living supplies. Accton provided the most practical and timely assistance in terms of resources or monetary donations.
Donated pandemic prevention equipment to protect frontline medical staff
The coronavirus pandemic continues to spread, and hard-working medical staff is protecting everyone on the front line. In order to protect the front-line medical staff and allow them to work in a safe environment, Accton donated 2,000 pieces of PPE to National Taiwan University Hospital Hsin-Chu Branch; through the South-Link Medical Foundation, donated 975 pieces of PPE to health centers, township offices, epidemic prevention stations, and epidemic prevention and disinfection personnel in the four townships along the South Link Highway; donated 1,500 face shields to Hsinchu City Government, so that epidemic prevention personnel serving in public departments can receive an extra layer of protection while serving everyone else; assisted the Beunen Foundation and its various locations in purchasing pandemic prevention partitions to reduce the risk of the spread of the epidemic, so that the care services of social welfare groups during the epidemic are still uninterrupted.

Donated living supplies so that the poor and disadvantaged children can focus on learning
During the pandemic, many schools switched to long distance classes. Poor and disadvantaged children who could have eaten nutritious lunch at school had to take care of themselves at home, and the cost of meals at home doubled immediately. Accton donated 40 boxes of pandemic prevention supplies to the World Peace Association to help the poor and disadvantaged children. During the epidemic, children can still consume enough nutrients and study with peace of mind.
