Accton Technology Corporation joins hands with its supply chain
to promote carbon reduction actions, declaring a net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050 and a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030
Accton and its Supply Chain Partners Join Forces to Promote Carbon Reduction and Commit to Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050 and Cut Carbon Emissions by Half by 2030
On today, the 21st, Accton Technology Corporation held a supplier conference that initiated the Accton Zero Carbon Chain Project. The conference was specifically held on the day before World Earth Day, hoping to consolidate a consensus with supplier partners and jointly develop ESG sustainable carbon reduction action plans. By setting “Zero Carbon Chain” as the theme of this year’s supplier conference, we wish to emphasize the importance of future ESG sustainable carbon reduction in the supply chain management of the Accton Group.
Lin Meen-Ron, Chairperson of Accton Technology, stated, “Based on Accton’s ESG development spirit, “humanity, innovation and sustainability for the common good,”
Accton has been committed to various sustainable projects over the years, including actively initiating green manufacturing and green supply chain management. We believe that ESG is the responsibility of the enterprise to society and the foundation for the long-term development of the enterprise itself. Therefore, on the road to implementing ESG action plans, Accton will work hand-in-hand with supply chain partners to jointly strive to achieve the goal of carbon reduction and net-zero emissions.”
Accton aims to achieve a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. In the future, Accton will prioritize a green procurement strategy, which includes responsible production, green product design, and optimizing the local supply chain. Accton will work with key suppliers to implement green product design and optimize local green supply.
At today’s supplier conference,
Accton invited several ESG experts and supplier representatives to give keynote speeches and participate in panel discussions, sharing the importance of ESG in corporate and supply chain management from different perspectives, as well as the possible challenges that may arise. Many experts and supply chain partners present also proposed corresponding solutions and suggestions.
The chairman of the Taiwan Digital Enterprise Alliance and chairman of the TEN Life Group, Chen Lai-Zhu, gave a speech titled “Zero-carbon Transformation, Industry Re-innovation,”
saying that “realizing the commitment to net-zero emissions cannot only stop at carbon audits. How companies use technology to drive industrial innovation is the solution.” If companies only focus on surface-level “carbon reduction” actions, they will miss out on the enormous business opportunities brought by disruptive innovation in the industry. Accton and Chairman Chen Lai-Zhu of DigiZerocarbon are cooperating to jointly plan a series of zero-carbon transformation courses. Through a co-creation model, they will assist companies in setting their goals for carbon reduction, conducting greenhouse gas emission audits, energy management, and achieving digital transformation objectives, jointly responding to the impact of climate change, turning crises into opportunities, and seizing business opportunities.
David Pelleri, AWS GM Soln/BD Emerging Industries,
stated that in response to rapid global climate change, AWS is pleased to collaborate with Accton to develop a smart energy monitoring system to assist businesses in achieving sustainable development. Manufacturers can use this cloud platform and IoT services to simplify the collection, organization, and analysis of industrial equipment information. Users can visualize the data in an intuitive way and fully monitor electricity usage status, this facilitates formulating precise energy use strategies. In the future, we will continue to work with Accton to assist companies in optimizing energy usage efficiency in different fields and implementing ESG visions.

Accton believes that businesses need to take on social responsibility and contribute to protecting the environment and the future of the planet.
The company will continue to promote best practices in sustainable development to ensure a balance between its business and the environment. Accton will continue to strengthen ESG practices and management and work with all parties to promote sustainable development goals.
