All foreign employees of Zhunan Plant have completed the rapid tests.
Preventive risk control measures were taken, and foreign employees will be arranged to return to work once assessed to be safe.
The number of people currently diagnosed:
According to the data released by the Central Epidemic Command Center on the 8th, the cumulative number of confirmed diagnoses is 13, of which 1 new diagnosis is on the 8th. This employee of Zhunan Plant went to the doctor because he was unwell and was confirmed positive after the PCR test.
The positive numbers of the rapid tests will be added after the subsequent PCR test results are announced.
Rapid test progress of Zhunan Plant this week:
June 4: 233 people screened, including 166 foreign employees and 67 Taiwanese employees.
June 7: 620 people screened, including 601 foreign employees and 19 Taiwanese employees. All foreign employees of the Zhunan Plant have been screened.
June 8: 602 people screened, all Taiwanese employees.
June 9: 289 people to be screened (tentative).
Zhunan Plant will complete the full staff screening on June 9 ahead of schedule.
Measures newly added:
1. All foreign employees at the Zhunan Plant have been screened. Employees whose rapid test results were positive have completed PCR tests and have been relocated to quarantine facilities. Accton will take preventive risk control measures. Foreign employees from the same dormitory have also been relocated for self-quarantine. They will not return to the factory for the time being. Further health assessments will be arranged to determine the time of return to the factory.
2. Synchronized factory and dormitory reorganization operations have been conducted to reduce the number of people living on each floor.
3. Comprehensive routine screening will start next week.
